Apollo is an international tire manufacturer and a leading tire brand in India. The company is founded on the principles of creating value for stakeholders through reliability in its products and trust in its relationships. Tire Apollo has six production units: four in India and one each in the Netherlands and Hungary. The fifth unit in India and seventh globally is under construction in Andhra Pradesh.

Apollo tire products are marketed under two global brands, Apollo and Werdstein. These products are available through a wide network of brand, exclusive and multi-product stores in more than 100 countries. The company’s product portfolio includes tires for passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks, trucks-buses, bicycles, agricultural, industrial, special, bicycles and off-road tires and coated materials and tires.

Headquartered in Gurgaon, India, Apollo Tires has a turnover of US$2.3 billion and is among the top 20 tire manufacturers in the world. Apollo Tires has been recognized as the “Best Company to Work For” in both Asia and Europe and has received numerous awards for its HIV-AIDS awareness and prevention initiatives for trucking communities as well as for waste management initiatives in the community.

Acquired Entities: In November 2015, Apollo Tire acquired Reifencom GmbH, one of the largest tire distributors in Germany with an online and offline presence. In May 2009, it acquired Apollo Vredestein BV (originally Vredestein Banden BV) in the Netherlands, a manufacturer of specialty passenger car tires with an extensive distribution network across Europe.
